I was extremly satisfied with job John did on my desktop computer! I was so worried thinking my pc had crashed seeing this Blue Screen Error! John went above and beyond explaining in detail all that he was going to do, and gave me so many helpful tips to get the most out of my pc.Very personable and made me feel comfortable to ask any questions. I would recommend to all! I think it is awesome that he takes the time to explain and let you know what all you can do yourself to keep your equipment running in the best possible manner. Thank you Soooo Much John! Sincerly, Linda V Listed is the work he did for me, to fix the problem I had with my destktop pc. 1. Researched the Microsoft BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error. 2. Disconnected hard drive from system and used a USB connection to copy ALL personal files to another storage device. 3. Checked all of the BiOS settings on the PC to ensure that nothing was turned off and all boot devices were properly identified. 4 Re-started PC and attempted to run Windows 10 in 'Safe Mode with Networking' and it worked. Connected to the internet and confirmed that all updates and drivers were current. One or more drivers were updated during this event. 5. After installing updates, Windows started normally and he was able to check ALL device settings and updated all software. PC rebooted and performed normally. 6. Created 10 backup DVD's and copied all the personal files to them for safe-keeping in case Windows crashed again. 7. Installed more memory into pc which increased the memory from 4Gb to 12Gb, thereby improving the performance of the pc. 8. Created a number of print-outs for me to review in order to purchase hardware upgrades and a recommendation as to what laptop to buy for my son.Aug 27, 2016Verified
John is amazing. My desktop had crashed, and he got it up and running like new in 24 hours. He was very professional, patiently answering my questions and teaching me little computer tips. I also had him check my laptop that was overheating; he tested it and determined the cost to fix it was prohibitive. He was very honest and upfront with me, which I really appreciated. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?There is nothing complicated about my pricing system. I take the information from the customer, create a 'game plan' and inform them of the total cost. If there are changes, then at that time, we will negotiate any additional fees to accomplish that added task. I am very flexible and you will know what you are getting into before we sign a contract.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes, I purchase subscriptions to industry professional trainers and web sites devoted to the latest improvements in the video industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have been a movie nut and photography 'want-to-be' since I saw my first horror film in the 50's. There are many more talented people out there than I am but maybe I will get a chance one day to put out a project that folks will talk about for a long time.
