Attic Assessment: I made an appt for Mr Joe, from Chumley Foundation and Structural Repair, to inspect my house to determine possibility of turning unused rafter space into usable space, and the feasibility of any suggestions.1. Mr Joe was on time, polite, and attentive.2. He asked detailed questions to find out our main goal, and possible backup goals, in case our original goal was unattainable due to regulations or cost.3. Mr Joe examined both the outside, the inside, and the attic space of my home, explaining all aspects of my homes construction and history, as he went, so I would be able to understand why there may be some obstacles, or alternative avenues to reach our goals.4. He took his time, was hopeful for and supportive of our familys needs, verse impatient and dismissive as the last contractor we called out to review the situation was.5. Mr Joe was willing to offer alternate suggestions, that may not involve his company, but would assist us being able to utilize more storage space.Summary: Mr Joe at Chumleys was prompt, polite, an attentive listen, client-goal focused, sensitive to client budgetary and time considerations, helpful, informative, and thorough. 5/5 will be using, and would use again.

Five stars isnt enough. Ask for Mitchell.I had noticed a collapsed section of my foundation wall and suspected a serious structural issue. I reached out to three different companies for quotes, and Mitchell from Chumley was by far the most professional, knowledgeable, and honest of them all.From the beginning, he stood out. He arrived exactly on time, which is rare in my experience, and treated the issue with a level of care and curiosity I didnt see from the others. The root cause of the problem was clear a gutter on the opposite side of the house had caused a washout under the wall, leading to the collapse. Other contractors were quick to stop there and jump to quoting a repair. Mitchell didnt.Instead, his experience told him there might be more going on, and he took the time to investigate further. He noticed there was no concrete footing under the wall and asked if he could look deeper. With my permission, he went outside, dug into the yard, and confirmed that the wall in question wasnt load-bearing at all. It was more cosmetic and primarily there to seal off the crawl space from pests and the elements.That level of effort, just to make sure nothing important was being overlooked, was what really earned my trust. He could have just quoted a repair and moved on, but instead he made sure the fix being considered was actually necessary. He helped me understand the situation fully and made it clear that I didnt need to rush into an expensive repair that wouldnt have solved anything.He also looked at my sump pump which another contractor said needed replacement and reassured me that it was functioning just fine. No scare tactics, no upsells, just professional and honest input that gave me real peace of mind.If youre dealing with a crawl space or foundation issue, I highly recommend having Mitchell from Chumley take a look before you make any decisions. He brings experience, integrity, and a homeowner-first mindset thats hard to find. Ill definitely be reaching out to him again if I ever need anything in the future.

We have lived in our house for thirty years.We can fairly say that we respect and feel grateful for the quality of people whom have helped us with our homes.At the top of list is Chumley Structural and Foundation Repair.Their level of service, care, and honesty is top shelf.
