Wow!!! this man is amazing! Let me just say that I have had horrible experiences with A/C techs in the past. Most have taken advantage of the fact that we are dying from heatstroke and have mega-charged me for repairs that have left me feeling violated and victimized. Mr. Cortinas could have told me anything and sold me everything, but this good Christian man was accommodating, polite, knowledgeable and a true gentleman. He explained the process and his techniques in such a way, that even I understood, AND adding little tips and tricks of the trade to keep my system running smoothly. He was in and out within 45 minutes and I felt guilty for the small amount he charged - I really want to sing the praises here because of my history with shyster repairmen. He told me about his sons from A&M that are in the business also - if they are anything like dad, we are in for a dynasty of quality service!! Thank you Thank you again, Mr. Cortinas - my friends and I will be calling (Please don't retire!!!)
Oh, the only way this could have been any better is if he had brought dinner over with him. Hey Ruben, dinner is on me!

My house had a garage conversion many years ago. This past summer we remodeled the room essentially splitting it into 2 rooms with a hall. The existing air conditioner vent ended up in only one of the rooms leaving the other room without any air. I received replies through Thumbtack. Ruben was the first to reply and he wanted to come see what I needed done before he quoted a price. The other company simply gave a price and the third one wanted to come see as well, but after seeing some pictures I sent he quoted a price that was significantly higher than everyone else. Ruben came by the house, he was very courteous, he looked professional, and was very friendly. His price was well within what I was willing to pay. He arrived this morning and began working. He took great care in making sure the airflow between the two rooms was the same, he cleaned up after he was finished, and the workmanship was second to none. I wanted to have him do a few more things so I asked if he would check the freon in my outside unit, he did. He could have sold me more freon but my AC didn't need any. I will recommend Ruben to anyone needing AC service and I will call him again when I need anything. He is honest, fair, and very knowledgable. Thank you Ruben!

Ruben came out today at exactly the time, he told me would be at my home. He came and listened to what I had to say what my concerns were about my A/C. He went step-by-step looking at both air conditioning units and condensers. He explained to me and showed me in a way I could understand what was going on with the units. He did not rush through anything he made me feel important and talk to me about what my expectations were for my air conditioner. Once he found the problem he explained it to me and then fixed it. Ruben has an old-school way of doing business customer first listening and being respectful not expecting you to understand how things work. I would highly recommend him to you and also my family in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ruben Cortinas. I was faced with a dilemma when our AC unit stopped working for the upstairs. When we hired a reputable company, they tested everything, tried using a start up kit (he even showed me), and nothing worked. They then told us we needed to replace our condenser unit because the compressor was bad. After spending $125 with the other (well reviewed 5 star) company and 24hrs of stressing over a $2200 quote to replace the whole unit. Ruben (who offered to stop by for free) came by and within 5 minutes my AC unit was working. I couldn't believe it!! I felt a huge weight lifted because we didn't have to come up with $2200 and only paid $250. I've had to work with several service people for a variety of projects and repairs over the years. I've not met anyone as genuine, Ruben was very kind, courteous, honest, and knowledgeable. So If you're looking for a no BS HVAC guy who knows his stuff, you should seriously consider contacting Ruben's company. They saved us some $$ and now our family can still take our trip and I won't have to look at sad faces this weekend. Thank you again Ruben for saving the day! A+++
