Jim is very thorough and knowledgeable about family and military law. He does research into the issues and won't take your case unless he can help. He won my Former Spouse Benefits case after my entitlements were wrongfully denied. He works tirelessly to make sure he explains your ongoing legal case. In fact, because he devoted time to get to know my case, I asked him to represent me again. I communicate with him via MyCase and I can download documents whenever I need them. I am more than satisfied with his representation. I recommend him to my friends, family, and clients. The only thing I would change is being able to hire him sooner. He is a passionate professional that cares about practicing law with integrity.

I needed to hire an attorney to represent a case from family law. Robert Peterson with Shumway Van was hired to handle the case. The case is till in the legal system, but I wanted to take a moment and view my experience. I hired Robert Peterson after using Thumbtack for my first time. Mr. Peterson listened to the reasons I need legal representation, and help form a plan of action. Mr. Peterson is good about keeping me informed of the status of the case. I would recommend to anyone who needs to hire an Attorney to seriously consider Shumway Van for several reasons. Shumway Van is a large successful law firm that has resources an individual attorney would not be privileged. Robert Peterson works hard on presenting the best case, and if necessary has Partners in the firm with vast experience that can give advice or recommendation on the case. Money is a huge factor when you need an attorney. Although no attorney is "cheap" and if they are "Run". I find in my case the fee's for legal representation to be affordable. Word of advice, if you hire an attorney that is "Cheap" it could affect the case at hand and affect future cases. This is part of the reason I have to seek legal counsel to try and correct a problem that should of been dealt with the first time money was spent going in front of the court. Best of Luck with your decision and your case. I would recommend Robert Peterson with Shumway Van.

De la Riva and Associates have been my law firm for over five years, and they will continue to be for many more. I am more than just a client to the firm; I am a person. Ms. de la Riva, the other attorneys, and their staff all know me by name. They know that I have unique needs that require their own remedies, and they give me the counsel and representation that I need. I know that they will always be there for me.

I applied for a truck driver position with a company and after meeting all the requirements (drug test, road test, mvr, background) they told me I was to train with them for 2 days and then I would be assigned a truck to begin working for them. A few days before I began the training a quit my job so I could begin the team-driving training. The day after I completed the training, they told me they wouldn't hire me because of the way I operated the truck (using the clutch too much). They should have told me that before I quit my job, during the road test. Not even during the 2-day training they mentioned anything about using the clutch too much. Now I have no job and no income, a bunch of bills to pay, and have to scramble to try and find another job quickly. Do I have a case?
