Verify licensing and insurance Make sure the electrician is properly licensed and insured in Texas. This protects both you and your home. Ask about pricing upfront A reputable electrician should be able to explain how pricing works before starting — whether flat-rate or job-based — so there are no surprises. Look for clear communication Pay attention to how responsive they are and whether they explain things in a way that makes sense. Good communication usually reflects good workmanship. Check reviews and reputation Look for recent reviews and how the company responds to feedback. Consistency matters more than perfection. Avoid pressure tactics You should feel informed and comfortable, not rushed. A good electrician gives you options and lets you decide what’s best for your home.
