- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Armored Power Systems, we believe in clear, upfront pricing before work begins. For standby solar + batteries and generator installations, we provide a detailed written estimate so the homeowner understands the equipment, labor, electrical work, fuel requirements, and next steps before making a decision. Our standard solar or generator diagnostic visit is $199 and includes the first hour on site. Emergency diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and installation pricing vary depending on the system, location, parts needed, and scope of work. We also offer maintenance plans for homeowners who want long-term protection and priority service. These prepaid plans have post pricing on our website.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is simple and professional. First, we learn what the customer needs: solar installation, generator installation, maintenance, diagnostics, repair, or an electrical upgrade, etc. Then we schedule a visit to inspect the home, the existing electrical setup, potential solar or generator location, and any additional ideas or concerns. After that, we explain what we found, answer questions, and provide a clear estimate or service recommendation. If the customer moves forward, we schedule the work (sometimes same day), complete it cleanly and professionally, and make sure they understand their system before we leave. Our goal is clear communication, clean workmanship, and long-term support after the job is done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Armored Power Systems team has over 7 years experience with solar and batteries and is trained and certified in standby generator systems as a Generac Authorized Service Dealer for generators, PWRcell batteries, and PWRmicro inverter; Dealer #1033043. Our work is based on manufacturer standards, code-compliant installation practices, and real experience in construction, home services, storm restoration, and commercial and residential energy systems. Additionally, we install and service various brands.
