I’d recommend having an inspector come and look at your roof first and assess any problem areas/leaks. Once you’ve done that, you can figure out what your insurance will cover.

What type of roofing material is best for my home and budget? Is my roof actually due for replacement, or can it be repaired? How old is my current roof and how long should a new one last? What warranty options are available? Will insurance cover any part of the roof? replacement?
