I had a great experience from the get-go. He was friendly and professional while communicating via text to schedule there time. he reached out promptly, too. He arrived early to ensure he was on time to work work and came with the supplies and tools needed. His quality of work was better than the contractors who built my home a few years ago. He educated me on what caused the door frame damage, how to prevent it from happening again and even took the time to point out some other areas where there was rot due to poor construction. He even came in less than 24 hrs when my door frame was letting in heat. Others needed more days before they could come. His prices can't be beat and the quality is top notch! I saved his number for the next time I need him.

We had an outstanding experience working with Stephens Contracting on an extension of our driveway, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, they were extremely responsive, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable in their craft.
Our project required multiple approvals, and unfortunately our HOA was being a huge pain—denying our request twice despite us following their guidelines. Instead of leaving us to deal with the frustration, Greg from Stephens Contracting truly went above and beyond. He personally reached out to the HOA, patiently walked them through the entire process, and submitted all the additional documentation they requested. He didn’t stop there—he also contacted the MUD on our behalf and handled all the required paperwork to secure their approval as well.
What impressed us most was that Greg put in this level of effort for a small-scale project like a driveway extension. That speaks volumes about his work ethic, integrity, and genuine care for his clients. Once all the approvals were in place, he got started right away. The work itself was excellent, and when the job was done, the work area was left clean, tidy, and organized.

We had a wood deck installed in our backyard. Greg did an excellent job working with our budget and communicating. He was upfront about site conditions and honest recommendations regarding scope of the work. The finished deck looks good and took around 3 days to finish, we'll just have to see how well it holds up! He does stand behind his work!

We had general contractor Greg Stephens over to repair a door threshold that had significant rot and general wear. Not only did he offer a very fair estimate, he was patient and happy to address any questions we had about the repair. Greg was also very easy to communicate with via the Thumbtack app or in any other manner. As with any job, sometimes unexpected challenges present themselves and in this case, they were all handled professionally and efficiently. His process was very straightforward and we were incredibly satisfied with the result.
As expected of a quality general contractor, Greg seemed to have solid working knowledge of various disciplines and was willing to provide us useful guidance regarding other, unrelated, repairs or concerns that we have been considering.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have been in business for many years, producing quality projects for an array of clientele. All of our work shows the level of quality and professionalism we provide. That said, we are competitive in our pricing, but we are not considered a "discount" General Contractor.
Our projects can range from a few hundred dollars up to approximately $20m. We enjoy working with the most discerning clients.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we like to meet our clients to discuss their project, their budget, and their expectation of their contractor. Usually, during the initial discussion, the client can get a feel for us, as a company, and we can get an idea of what type of client we are working with and what their needs are.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We are considered 4th generation in the construction industry, 3rd within Southern California. Our CEO started in the field prior to the age of 10, and has been focused on quality work and a professional etiquette which surpasses most General Contractors.
