James and the crew of Gental Touch did a great job painting my house. There were a few spots the guys missed while painting, but James made sure to send someone out to work on all the touch up areas I found. They kept the yard clean during and after the job, and even washed the windows to make sure there were no drips left behind. The only real issue was the quality of the paint could have been much better. But, that was my fault for buying Glidden paint to try and save a few dollars when I should have spent the money for Valspar or Sherwin Williams. I would definitely recommend Gentle Touch to anyone who needs a good painting job at a good price.Jun 21, 2016VerifiedGentle Touch Services's reply
Thanks Kevin I value your business and feedback. If you need anything I would love to work with you again have an awesome Summer.
Ultimately at the end of the project - the job was completed and looks good. There was a significant part of the job that needed touched up. I wish the painters would have used drop cloths as there are paint speckles on my hardwood floorsJun 8, 2016VerifiedGentle Touch Services's reply
Hi Kristi I really appreciate your feedback it helps me better assist and serve my customers. We do try to minimize and prevent splatters though from time to time during the process from shuffling our feet or moving from place to place the coverings get torn or moved from the edges thus creating some unintentional splatter created from the roller against the wall or from a high wall and the splatters project past the covering. Those splatters should be addressed prior to final inspection also more of the area should be covered and please accept my apologies for having missed that because it only takes a few extra minutes with a damp cloth to clean up and we should have inspected the work area more closely. If need be I would be happy to come out and take care of that thanks again for your comments and it was an honor working with you have a great day.
I hired Gentle Touch to paint the wood paneling in my living room. Everything started out fine. The crew then never showed up when they said they would be there, did a poor job at blocking off the rest of the house when they sprayed so I had paint dust in every room of my house. The last day they brought in a different crew that was ten times better and fixed the issues from the first crew. I was happy then until the subcontractor from the first crew threatened to put a lien on my house due to nonpayment from the contractor. I also had to go buy more paint with my own money because the first crew did a poor job and had to redo it.May 31, 2016VerifiedGentle Touch Services's reply
Hey Caitlin thanks for your response and I'm truly sorry you went through that with a lackluster sub, rest assured when I use a sub I have them sign a lien waiver and I did inform your husband of that. Not sure about the one star based on me not paying full price for crap work to a sub and getting my own guys there asap to complete the project. Also we were having the dust removed but you and your husband told me not to worry about it, it's no big deal everything looks great and thanks for getting rid of the first crew and you don't have to worry about any bad review and we will hand out your cards and info to all our family and friends. Thanks for your honesty and have a great day!
James and his crew did a very nice job on my exterior house painting. They had to repair and change out a fair amount of wood, some of it because of rot and some because the wretched squirrels seem to love chewing it. James was here when his crew started to work and was here to check everything out when they were finishing up. He pays great attention to detail and was careful that everything was done to his and my satisfaction.Mar 20, 2016Verified
James set up an appointment with my husband for 530pm today. My husband rushed back from work just to make it back on time while James ended up standing him up without informing us before hand.I may not know how good James does his work. But for a person that could do this to his potential customer, I couldn't believe it would be anything good.Nov 16, 2015VerifiedGentle Touch Services's reply
I was running late, finishing up on another project, and texted this customer to let them know I was sorry and was wondering if they would be able to reschedule with me for the following day, same time. They were very upset about this scheduling conflict and weren't willing to reschedule with me. I am a very trust worthy person and would hate to think that they are under the impression I stood them up. I'm an independent contractor and it can be very difficult when it's sometimes just me doing the work. I would love to make it up to them for the inconvenience.
