- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided after working in manufacturing yards and welding shops, that I don't enjoy doing the same thing every day. I wanted more of a variety without losing credentials from going job to job. What better opportunity than being a handy man.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Replace faucets, valves, garbage disposal, thermostats and the internal components of toilets which allow them to function properly. Some customers call me to mount t.v.'s or simply hang paintings on their wall.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure to thoroughly express exactly what you want the final outcome to be before allowing someone to start any project. For instance, I went over to a new customers house recently because she hired someone to mount her t.v. and they left a hole in her wall with all the wires sticking out. He didn't care about the final appearance of her brand new home. So then, after paying him, she paid me to fix the mess that he left. This isn't fair for anyone to have to do. Be sure they know exactly what you're looking for.
