When you're choosing a studio, ALWAYS request a demo from that studio to compare to others. Make sure that the recording that you're hearing is from the engineer that you will be using for your project and make sure it was actually recorded at that studio on the equipment you would be using for your project. Also, ask about the budget of the artists on their demos. Quality can be based on how much you're spending.
