FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

It's not really complicated. I have a flat fee for most services. I also use a three hour threshold on the hourly rate. Why fix your old computer if you can buy a new one for a few additional dollars. Remember that your data is the most expensive and most vunerable part of your system. If backups aren't regularly done you risk losing it forever...

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Start by checking references. Secondly, ask a few questions and see if they are pushing the hard sell. Don't be shy about asking for the experience of the tech servicing your computer. Thirdly and foremost, ask how they intend to protect your data. After all the data is worth more than the computer itself.
