The Lyric Voice Studio of Houston & the Woodlands

Study with professional singer and teacher Jan Cornelius at The Lyric Voice Studio of The Woodlands in the Cochran's Crossing Area. With decades of experience teaching classical voice and singing professionally in opera, choral music, art song and oratorio, our teaching approach has proven itself with hundreds of singers who have desired a free, open, resonant vocal approach which maximizes the potential of the voice when it comes to projection, resonance, vowel production, strength and expressiveness. We are seeking dedicated voice students who are determined to improve their skills and become expressive, technically proficient artists in a nurturing environment. We create a personalized regimen of vocal exercises and we craft a practice routine based on your needs that helps you develop through study of classical vocal production. Our students are generally at least 12 years old through adults, are beginners and professionals alike, and are willing to commit to a regimen of vocal exercises and repertoire geared to strengthen the singing voice and develop range and flexibility to its greatest potential. Our students sing classical, opera, musical theater, and pop and other styles of music which require a "Lyric" sound: smooth, legato and resonant. We offer weekly studio class and regular performing opportunities.
