Dani took great care of my dogs. She is very affordable. Always on time. Gets along great with the dogs. She even taught them a couple new tricks. I would highly recommend her services to anyone with special need animals. Always A pleasure working with Dani.

Great opportunity to socialize my high anxiety dog. He usually doesn't do well outside the house. But Dani went above and beyond to make him feel at home. Goid job. Five stars.

I had recently moved to the area dn needed someone to help with the horses, cat and koi pond. I am so glad I stumbled on herd and home, they gave me a very reasonable price and took great care of my animals.

I thought I had found the perfect place for our dog. I spoke to the owner for an hour on the phone going over everything and I felt confident about leaving our dog for 5 days. The day of the boarding my husband drove 45 minutes there with our dog and arrived at the agreed on time. He found there was a locked gate with a code needed to get in. Nothing had been mentioned about this to me so when he called and told me, I was surprised. He said he tried calling but no one answered. Then he tried to get someone’s attention by honking his horn, waving his arms and calling out as he thought he saw someone by the house. Again no response. From home I tried reaching her by calling both numbers she had given me & messaging her, but again got no response. He finally gave up and came home with our dog. We had to scramble to find a solution to this very unexpected situation as we were taking a trip and were now very behind schedule. Dani did end up returning my call but it was too late to go back and I now had no confidence she would be reliable. The reason she gave me for not opening the gate or returning our (multiple) calls was that she had me down for the afternoon. Since we had thoroughly discussed the morning appointment I’m at a loss as to how the drop off time didn’t get put down on her schedule. It comes down to the fact that a business owner should be available when they are contacted. We tried multiple ways and got no response for at least an hour. Very disappointing experience.

Gina, thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback for me-I sincerely appreciate it. I have replayed this event so many times, knowing it should have gone differently. -I can only apologize whole- heartedly for the inconvenience I know I caused you. I looked back over my notes and saw where I had written down the expected morning drop off time-9am, and I cannot begin to explain how my calendar had your booking scheduled for 2pm. I program alarm clocks for every clients upcoming appointment and yours was scheduled to remind me 2 hours prior-at noon. This is when I would typically text a check in to make sure drop off time hasn't changed and nothing gets missed before leaving your home. Had the correct time been set for your appointment, I would have been there and available to answer the phone, as well as tell you that we open the gate upon arrival. I had scheduled quite a few drop off appointments for the previous day, and multiple petsitting visits for the day of your arrival, I can only assume I had somehow edited your appointment by mistake prior to scheduling the off-site visits. -I know I cannot undo the negative experience you had in the attempt to find reliable care for your girl-it breaks my heart that I caused such stress to you and your family when you needed it the least. I would like to offer a complimentary stay, if you'll give me a second chance to prove that I am reliable, as well as the offered explanation for your worries detailed below. -We do keep the gated property electronically locked. This is for the safety of the pets that we have staying with us. We have some clients that are flight risks, others we have worked with are in training and don't sways follow ofg-leash commands, and sometimes we are asked to care for in-season females who may attract strange dogs to the property if it is not secure. Even though I have no doubt that our kennels are escape-proof, we open gates and doors many times a day for walks and exercise. When clients arrive for drop off, pick up, or to visit-we open the gate from the house or kennel and make sure that it closes immediately after their entrance and exit. This is to deter any unwanted visiting dogs as well as the various delivery drivers that like to speed down driveways and don't watch for dogs. -I understand your frustration in not being able to get ahold of me. I did mention when we originally spoke that I not only offer boarding, but I also have clients that have me visit their homes to care for their pets, as well as walk dogs for others. When I'm in a clients home I am 100% focused on what I am doing there- making sure their furbabies are cared for to their exact directives as well as making sure everything regarding the homes care is as it should be. If I were to be distracted during one of these visits I risk missing something that could be the cause of loss or damage to their property. Or even worse-a pet could be left unsecured if I missed a detail like locking a back door when I leave. I did return your calls as soon as I completed my appointment, and explained why I had been out of touch. I hope you give me a second chance to prove that this was a freak occurrence and definitely not the norm for me.
