awesome experience from the initial contact through the bottled water afterwards. the studio was nice, clean, comfortable and secure. Brent is certainly not stuffy (like the suit might suggest). He is down to earth, easy-going, comforting and has the ability to make a person relax. His massage is very therapeutic while focusing on identified spots. Asked several times if the pressure was right and if he needed to focus on any other troubled spots. I loved that great deep tissue pressure. In addition to being therapeutic, the session was fun and relaxing. We talked some and had some quiet, relaxing time. Brent is an interesting person and is interested in his clients. I am certainly glad I found Brent. He is conveniently located to me and easy to get to. I've had two sessions with Brent and I look forward to many more.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I conduct a brief pre-consultation to determine the clients needs, preferences and to set appropriate expectations before beginning the session in order to deliver a customized approach to each individual client. I then solicit some feedback to make sure the massage is going at its best for the client, and take notes so future sessions go smooth & perfect (without clients having to repeat their needs & preferences).

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

After getting my massage therapy license upon completing a 570 hr program at Memorial Hermann Massage & Spa Therapy School, I have taken an additional 50 hrs in Medical Massage CEUs, 24 hrs in Neuromuscular Therapy CEUs, and 24 hrs in Deep Tissue training. In the mix of all that, I've probably read over 100 technical & non-technical articles from massage & bodywork magazines so far. I keep up my studying from time-to-time, and I plan on getting my Massage Therapy Instructor's license within a year (or two, at the latest).

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My mother insisted that I should be a Chiropractor or at least a massage therapist - because I have the intuition, great hands & strength for it. One thing led to another in life, and I found myself checking out Memorial Hermann Massage & Spa Therapy School one day.. signed up afterwards, and then got hooked!
