Ok, I’ll start off with a small story. My wife and I moved into this house a few years ago. It needed a lot work so we spent our time renovating the interior and ignored the back yard. What a yard though! For a small house like this in Oak Cliff, we probably have one of the larger yards in our neighborhood. After saving the stimulus checks we thought it was time to put some attention on the yard. We have a little one on the way and we’d rather have them run through soft grass instead of the muddy, weedy spots closest to our house. We also wanted to replace the water faucet with a brick and tiled lined fixture that would double for filling buckets for our garden and for washing small feet. I’m the cook in the family and I’ve made my share of Cochinita Pibil (pork cooked under ground) but I’ve never had the chance to get a true brick oven built. There’s an old family recipe that I can’t get right with a modern oven. I needed a brick oven. Our families are from Jalisco, MX, and it was also our wish to preserve a piece of our culture for our future kids. So after contacting Karina she sent Ricardo and his crew to inspect the yard and begin construction. I’ll attach the before and after photos. If there’s anything that I could say about Ricardo and his guys is that they are Good people. I’m talking about Good-Good, I’m talking honest, noble, hard working, and genuinely trustworthy people. I told them about my vision and concerns and he understood. I wanted a rustic oven, the same kind my uncles in Mexico used when I visited them. I can cook, I just don’t have any masonry skills. Ricardo and his guys made that possible and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. The quality, patience, and resourcefulness these men showed while working is like nothing I’ve ever seen. Now our future kids will have soft grass to play on and family recipes to enjoy. This isn’t just another backyard remodel, they helped us preserve our family heritage. I already have future projects that I need help with and I know I will call on this team first. Please look into them, they are absolutely worth it.

I hired the company to build a front yard flower bed with stone. They did an excellent job an exceeded my expectations. They helped my front yard curb appeal most definitely the best in my development. I plan on hiring them for future jobs.

If thumbtack would have allowed me to check all five qualities - value, responsiveness, work quality, timeliness and professionalism, I would have done so. This crew was one of the best I’ve ever hired. They corresponded quickly with photos and advice and even drove samples out twice without any extra charge at all. They finished in two days and the result is breathtaking. The two gentlemen who handled the work were so respectful and always smiling and sweet to my kids who watched them the whole time. I merely submitted a photo of what I wanted, and the work turned out better than the “dream porch” I asked for. I am trying to think of ways to hire this company for even more projects soon. I am 100 percent pleased.
