- What types of customers have you worked with?
Teach and Emphasize the Basic Fundamentals that make new shooters good and good shooters better. Many people invest a huge amount of money in expensive firearms and accessories and become frustrated when bullets go places they should not. With a small investment in quality training from FAST, bullets go where they should.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Compare the backgrounds and experience of the schools/instructors: Some have been teaching for decades, but have never had a full time job that required carrying and using their firearms daily. Others have racked up an impressive list of schools attended and titles won punching holes in paper. Many of these are good schools that will help, and I encourage everyone to seek out training from different sources. The difference in FAST is that I am teaching what I have BEEN DOING IN COMBAT and has been proven successful by our Nation's Finest Soldiers for the last 25 years. It's not IPSC, it's not "Gun Games", it's not "The New Golf" - it's using a firearm to keep yourself alive. Determine what you want to get out of the training - for most people it falls into two categories: 1. New Gun Owners and Not Yet Gun Owners - if you have a new gun, FAST can show you how to maintain it, carry it, and most importantly, how to use it to protect yourself. If you have not decided what to buy, we show you the differences between types and models and calibers so you can make an educated decision on what type and caliber firearm is right for you. 2. Experienced Gun Owners - Come to one of our Open Enrollment Classes and I gurantee you will leave a better shooter - cause we pass on "The Secret" to accurate shooting.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The best instructors in the world can only provide about 80% of the solution - that's the information presented to the student and the diagnosis that is given to the shooter after observation. The remaining 20% is the shooter's application of that information. Some people are very good at taking instruction and they see almost immediate results. Others take a little more time. Every now and then you get a person that just cannot apply what has been told to them. It's frustrating from both sides, but eventually I can find some way of getting through to them.
