Providing force-free, positive reinforcement training for fur babies and their human families. Every fur baby and their family have specific training needs. Therefore, each training session is customized based first on an initial assessment and subsequently on ongoing assessments throughout the training program. My mission is for all family members to be able to communicate effectively in order to reach their end goals. By learning to effectively communicate with the furry members of your family there is no need to ever utilize any form of aversive methods, such as choke, prong or shock collars. Please reach out to me today to schedule an initial assessment. There is not any charge or commitment for the initial assessment and this allows you (and your human family) an opportunity to chat with me to find out if I am a good fit for your training needs. I am also offering consultation sessions via Zoom for families who are needing either general or specific education pertaining to their furry family members. In-home training: I chose in-home sessions because they let my dog learn in a familiar, real-life environment where we actually need the skills. That made the training feel calmer and more natural, and it was also very convenient for my schedule. No e-collar approach: Andie focuses on positive, reward-based training using food and motivation, so the dog learns while having fun. It can take a bit more time, but I believe it leads to strong, lasting results—and a happy, confident pet. She trains you (in a good way): One thing I really appreciated is that Andie teaches the owner as much as the dog. She explains what to do, how to do it, and why it works—answering questions along the way and helping you understand the details. The goal isn’t a quick fix in a few sessions, but steady progress through practice and reinforcement. She also provided helpful notes and guidance that I still refer back to when I need a refresher. Helpful gear recommendations: Andie also recommended a comfortable training collar and a few toys, and most importantly, showed me how to use them effectively. These have been great for keeping my dog engaged and occupied when I need a little time to focus on other things. Great value: I compared several trainers, and Andie stood out for both quality and price. She delivered excellent coaching, resources, and practical techniques—at a more reasonable rate than many other options I looked at.

I told myself I’d wait till I finished all 4 sessions before writing a review, but after 3 I feel confident in saying hiring Andie was by far the second beat decision I made this year (the first now being getting my puppy)! As a 26 year old living alone in a high rise with a 10 week old mini Aussie puppy, it’s safe to say I was in way over my head. By the third day I was overwhelmed & desperate. A ton of trainers were trying to upsell me their work through email- but Andie was different. She took the time to call me, talk through my issues, and squeeze me in once she realized how much I needed the help. She also sent me some things to read before hand so I could prep. As for the training lessons themselves - let me tell you that Andie is BY FAR the most prepared person in this field I’ve seen. She drafts a lesson plan for each training session, provides you with documentation/cheat sheets to help you through the difficult issues, trouble shoots issues with you that you’ve been having, & on top of that also gets your puppy to listen to her almost instantaneously. Andie gave me back a sense of control that I had lost after getting this puppy. She is 10/10 worth the investment & I strongly urge you to go ahead and book her! P.S - she also gifted my pup a toy he fell in love with on the first session. How nice is that????

Andie is an incredibly kind, patient and wonderful trainer. Both me and Coco used to look forward to her visits. She not only focuses on training the dog but also helps you become a better dog parent. Her training program is very well structured and her handouts very detailed and instructive. She trained Coco really well and we are grateful to her for that.

Andie is great !! She is extremely thorough I her work and provided us with all the details including the puppy’s nutrition and socializing. She was very patient with our hyperactive puppy and showed us ways to get him calm easily. The training sessions were extremely useful and we still use a lot of them now.

Once a client has reached out to me via Thumbtack I will send them my pricing along with detailed information about my availability and program.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the client has reached out to me via Thumbtack, I will send them detailed information about my program and pricing. We will then coordinate a convenient time for the client to engage in a phone call in order to perform an initial assessment. This assessment allows the human family to provide me with detailed information about their furry family member(s) and their specific training needs. At the conclusion of the initial assessment, we will generally schedule our first in-home training session.
