Miss Emily Pearson, owner of Lake Conroe Grooming, was extremely patient with my Daisy Mae during her first time getting groomed. It was also Daisy Mae's first time getting out of our home to meet someone at another location. She is 10 months old, smart, loving, and very, very energetic.Emily definitely had patience with her. I already knew she was going to be a handful when it came to bathing, but Emily worked with her, letting her explore, have a little fun, and work some of the energy out. She took her time in between bathing her and clipping her long toenails, and she was always very gentle.As an elderly, disabled lady with limited mobility, I was so grateful that Emily was right there to help keep me settled down and keep Daisy calm and under control. She provided a good, safe environment to help teach Daisy Mae how to behave while getting groomed. She was very understanding about my slow movements and never made me feel bad about not being able to physically train Daisy Mae myself. Her patience and kindheartedness were greatly appreciated.As a senior, having someone to groom our dog is a necessity, not just an option or a convenience. It is a necessity when you can't physically do it, even when you know how to. Emily was more than patient with the obstacles of my disability and Daisy Mae's high, youthful energy. At no time did I see Daisy Mae get scared enough to want to escape. Emily was constantly communicating with Daisy to help calm her down, showing her what was going on rather than just telling her, and gently asking Daisy Mae to let her do her work. She also gave her high-quality treats that I had approved beforehand.I can tell she has a very busy life with her own children and her other professional business owning an insurance agency. You can really tell she grooms dogs out of love and enjoyment. She takes on dogs that most groomers would turn away because of their lack of grooming experience or not being obedient at all moments. I have seen other professional groomers at large companies turn me away when I tell them she hasn't been trained for professional grooming and doesn't like water.Emily did amazingly well using good shampoo, getting everything cleaned up, and showing immense patience while drying her off and clipping her nails. Those are the things I simply cannot do at home anymore. I highly recommend her!
