FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years experience as an electrician. I served a four year apprenticeship along with four years of electrician schooling. I was a journeyman commercial electrician for 15 years. I received my master electrical license and electrical contractors license in early 2025. I’ve worked mostly in commercial installations but also industrial and residential.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began an electrical apprenticeship and schooling in 2005.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is important to hire an electrician who is licensed and insured. You may find a handyman willing to do the job cheaper, but be aware that it is not only illegal to perform electrical work without a license in Utah, it is also impossible to be insured if you’re not licensed for electrical work. The minimum license to work alone on any electrical job in Utah is a journeyman electrical license. You can search licenses by name on the utah.gov website for Utah Division of Professional Licensing.
