FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bill by project. I bill every 8 illustrations on large projects, less than that on projects less than 8 illustrations. Agreed upon price for Illustration ranges from $30-2000 depending on the type. All book covers are 2000.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet and greet to talk about the project, over video call or phone call or text or email (or visit if you're in the area). We talk contract (make sure we've communicated clearly and decided the parameters of the project), then sign. A sample/demo sketch may be required, in that case we agree upon price for demo sketch and I will present to you a sketch. Then, you decide if we go forward with the project, no harm no foul if it doesn't work out. When clients move forward with the process, we go according to the contract. And, don't forget to keep in touch when the project is done! I will always love to hear from you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Award winning artist beginning in middle school and high school. Colege degree, BYU Illustration BFA grad, 2016. Art teacher (yep this requires making a LOT of art!) 4 years, Freelance Illustrator 1.5 years. Corporate Illustrator 1.5 years. 5 months of Junior Graphic Design. 3 months Print shop Graphic design. Caricature Artist at SeaWorld And Legoland for 2 summers. Freelance Caricature Artist 4+years. (I’ve been doing caricatures 12 years total between freelancing and at theme parks) And finally, Practice, practice, practice. Lack there of is evident, and the well-practiced artist will make it look easy.
