Ivan and his team were awesome! My yard has been a mess of weeds for 2 years. Last year my husband and I decided to try and undertake the front yard by ourselves, and quickly realized that was a terrible idea. This year we decided that getting the yard, both front and back, to a useable state was a big priority for us, and we reached out to Taylor Made Home Improvements. They did an amazing job! The backyard turned out even better than I had pictured, and we never would have been able to finish the front yard as well as they did (the left side + half of the pathway was us, the right side + the finished patio was them). Every member of the team was friendly and efficient, and Ivan was easy to talk to and work with. There was one point where we had a miscommunication on the design aspect of the patio (which was completely my fault) and Ivan was kind and patient in working with me to fix the issue and find a way to still complete the vision I had in mind. He kept me and my husband updated every step of the way and communicated well whenever something came up that might have changed the outcome we were expecting, then worked with us to figure out the best solutions to those issues. Everything turned out perfectly, and I’m so grateful for their work. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I really don't like to leave bad reviews but Ivan from taylor made landscape gave us a quote to grade our yard and level areas for pavers and we were too quick to pay, because our ground is not level, we have lots of hills and valleys, we even had him come and double check and he said he did. I would like to add that Ivan did offer to come and advise us on the next steps of our project. We truly understood that leveling was part of the job done. Maybe there was some miscommunication. It's not our intention to harm someone's business.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up an arborist as my dad had his own tree business. As the years past by we got more involved in landscape installs along with transplanting trees. In 2005 I ventured out on my own and started my own company. After 5 years I found that my passion was not there anymore and decided to start a new adventure. After 10 years I decided to slowly work back into landscaping part time and quickly learned I had found a new love for it. In 2019 I decided to get back involved 100% and have not looked back. I really enjoy what we do and am thankful every day for the people we help in our community.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
It’s hard to pin point one job as we take the same pride and excitement in all of the jobs we do. However we are best known for our xeriscape installs.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Most importantly ask for proof of insurance and being 100% licensed. Also taking someone’s word for it isn’t enough in my opinion. Verify the licenses are active with dopl.
