FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
!! SPECIAL HOLIDAY OFFER - 20% OFF ENTIRE HOME FOR BOOKING EARLY! EXPIRES NOVEMBER 15TH !! My pricing is all based off of the size of the home as well as the difficulty of the roof. I go off of a per foot basis, as well as how sloped the roof is and if there are things like gutter guards that may possibly take more time with the installation process.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I start by having an open conversation to understand their vision for their holiday lighting display. I then offer a free consultation and estimate, where I either meet in person or discuss the project remotely, ensuring we cover all details, including budget, design preferences, and any unique features of the home. Once we've aligned on the design and quote, I proceed to custom-fit the lighting setup specifically for their property. This includes measuring rooflines, windows, garages, and any other features, so the lights are perfectly tailored to their home. After the installation, I offer full-season maintenance to ensure the display remains in perfect condition throughout the holidays. Lastly, after the holiday season, I take care of the takedown and storage (if requested) to ensure a hassle-free experience for the customer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
1. Are they Licensed and Insured? Yuletide Luminary - I am fully licensed and insured, which ensures that both your property and my work are protected. This provides peace of mind knowing that in the rare event of any damage or accident, everything is covered. Other Companies - Many other companies are either not licensed or do not carry insurance, which can put your home at risk if something goes wrong. 2. What type of Bulbs do they use? Yuletide Luminary - I use professional, commercial grade, energy-efficient LED bulbs that are built to last through harsh winter conditions. These bulbs shine brighter, last longer, and save you money on energy costs over time. Cheaper Companies - Many lower-cost installers use incandescent or lower-quality bulbs, which can burn out quickly, use 80%-90% more electricity, and require frequent replacements. These bulbs are not only less efficient but may also lead to higher energy bills. 3. What type of clips do they use? Yuletide Luminary - I use durable, professional-grade clips that ensure your lights stay securely in place all season long. These clips are designed to protect both the bulbs and your home’s exterior, preventing damage to siding, gutters, or roofing. Cheaper Companies - Some companies may use cheap plastic clips that can easily break or fail, causing the lights to fall off or misalign during bad weather. This not only requires maintenance but can also damage your property or the lights themselves. 4. What is their warranty? Yuletide Luminary - I offer a lifetime warranty on both the materials and installation. This means that any maintenance, repairs, or replacements that are needed due to faulty materials or installation are covered—giving you peace of mind for years to come. Cheaper Companies - Many low-cost providers either do not offer a warranty, or the warranty is extremely limited. This means that any repairs or issues that arise during the season are either at your expense or simply not addressed. 5. Do they come out and maintain the lights all season long? What does the timeframe look like for that? Yuletide Luminary - I offer full-season maintenance, ensuring your lights stay perfectly lit and functional throughout the holidays. If anything needs fixing, I respond quickly to make repairs, usually within 24 hours. Cheaper Companies - Many companies do not offer ongoing maintenance, leaving you on your own to deal with burnt-out bulbs or fallen lights. Some may charge extra for any mid-season repairs, or worse, they may not show up at all after the initial install. 6. What color wire do they use? Will it match your house? Yuletide Luminary - I use custom-colored wire that matches your home’s exterior, whether it’s white, green, black, or brown. This ensures that the wires blend seamlessly into your home’s design, making the lights the star of the show. Cheaper Companies - Cheaper companies often use standard green or white wire, which may stand out and detract from the overall look of your display, especially if the color doesn’t match your home’s exterior. 7. Do they offer storage services? Yuletide Luminary - I offer seasonal storage for your lights, so you don’t have to worry about finding space to store them or dealing with tangled wires. Your lights are stored in a safe, climate-controlled environment to ensure they’re in perfect condition for the next season. Cheaper Companies - Some companies do not offer storage, meaning you’ll have to find space in your home and deal with organizing the lights yourself. Improper storage can lead to damaged bulbs, tangled wires, and more time-consuming setup next year. These are just a few important factors to consider when choosing a Christmas light professional! My goal is to ensure that everyone looking for holiday lighting has the information they need to make the best decision for their home and get the most out of their installation experience.
