Introduction: We are healing families, one youth at a time. Located in Hurricane, Utah, Diamond Ranch Academy operates a licensed residential treatment center for young people, ages 12 to 18. A year-round program reminiscent of a boarding school, Diamond Ranch Academy has four distinct campuses, divided by age and gender, designed to meet the needs of young people. With a guarantee to readmit any graduate who has not made a significant change or reverts back to negative behaviors after the program free of charge, Diamond Ranch Academy cites its 5 percent graduate return statistic as proof of the program’s effectiveness. Diamond Ranch Academy accepts teens who are struggling. Most are characterized by anger, low self-esteem, poor decision making, academic difficulties, deceptiveness, as well as experimentation with tobacco, alcohol, or drugs. For these students, Diamond Ranch Academy has created a well-rounded program that incorporates social responsibility, therapy, activities, and academics. Students work based on a point system that reflects their behavior over the course of a week.
