Introduction: I am currently accepting students ages 3-adult for private violin lessons in Lehi, UT and surrounding areas. I offer lessons at students' homes, online, and at my two studios in Lehi and South Jordan. I have received teacher training for Suzuki books 1-4, and have eleven years of experience teaching students from beginning to advanced levels. With a focus on the Suzuki method, my students start their music journey learning proper violin technique with a focus on learning their pieces by ear. Supplemental materials are also used for note reading and music theory. I focus my advanced students on concertos, etudes, and scales to help prepare them for auditions and competitions. I am committed to helping students reach their individual goals and to help them discover exciting paths for their music. I received my B.M. in violin performance from Brigham Young University and a Master of Music degree at Boise State University. I have travelled internationally to perform chamber music in Italy and Slovenia and have played in professional orchestras throughout the US. DaNece Lyman offers solo violin music with the option of piano backing tracks for weddings and other events. With a masters in music and my experience in performing music internationally and in professional orchestra settings, I can provide your event with a timeless, curated selection of music, fit to your style and preferences. From classical pieces to modern renditions of your favorite ballad, I can work with you to find the ideal musical blend. I provide all sound equipment for piano backing tracks if desired and do not require an outlet. I am open to meeting or speaking before the big day to help you learn more about the services I can provide.

DaNece played at our small outdoor wedding ceremony and restaurant reception. She was phenomenal and helped make our wedding even more romantic. Many of our guests commented that live violin added a special touch. She was responsive, helped me select songs for various parts of the day, and was friendly. She even played a violin version of a pop song she didn't have sheet music for (I surprised my husband with a song that is an inside joke). Highly recommend her for your event!

Violin Lessons

She is a wonderful and patient teacher for my teenage daughter. She usually inspires her to start practicing after her lesson is completed. She is also very accommodating when it comes to scheduling. My daughter has had several teachers over the years and she works with DaNece the best.

Violin Lessons

Danece is very detailed oriented in her teaching...which is exactly what you want in a violin teacher so you don’t start bad habits in how you play. She is sweet, funny and easy to work with.
