I’m Jenny Tripp and I enjoy teaching students of all ages how to play cello and sing! I majored in music education with a vocal emphasis from Utah Valley University, and have played cello for over 15 years. I recently got certified to teach the Suzuki Method for Book 1 in cello, and am currently getting certified to teach Book 2!

Jenny has been a wonderful teacher to work with! I’m an adult beginning cello student and have been taking lessons with her for 2 years. She does a wonderful job of explaining music theory in an easy to understand manner and she is always willing to answer my questions in our lessons or via text when I’m practicing. She makes sure the time during our lessons is well spent and largely lets me decide what I want to work on. She has guided me through Suzuki Book 1 and we are now working on Book 2. She has helped me to work on Christmas music before too. We did a recital for my family and friends after I completed Book 1 and she helped me to prepare well and feel successful! Jenny tries her best to stay on top of the latest in cello teaching strategies and she implements what she learns in her lessons. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

My son has been studying with Ms. Tripp for 3 years and we cannot recommend her enough! He went from a beginner, learning how to hold his bow, to a solid member of his school orchestra. She is patient, extremely knowledgeable and meets the kids where they are at. My 13 year old enjoys his cello lesson as much as he enjoys soccer practice!

My daughter took singing lessons from Jenny for about 1 year. She enjoyed the experience and made good progress. Jenny is very professional, positive and motivating as a teacher. She has excellent communication skills and is organized and well prepared. She was very patient and she had reasonable expectations while encouraging and supporting my daughter’s growth. I would recommend Jenny as a voice teacher!
