FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer transparent, flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees. First-time tunings are $150, returning customers get a discounted rate of $125. I also offer a complete package that includes tuning, cleaning, and 30 minutes of repairs. For repair-only visits, there's a $25–$50 trip fee depending on location, and most repairs are billed at $60/hr, while full regulation work is $100/hr. Taxes are included in all rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I start by asking a few questions about the piano’s age, last tuning, and any known issues. At the appointment, I inspect the piano, explain what’s needed, and go over the tuning or repair plan. I’m always happy to explain what I’m doing so the customer feels confident in the service and will never pressure to do a repair immediate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been formally trained in piano technology, tuning, regulation, and repair. I’ve also spent years refining my ear and technique on a variety of instruments and brands. I also regularly study the latest in piano care and stay sharp through hands-on experience and professional resources.
