- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Initial Inquiry Contact: The potential client contacts your photography business through your preferred communication channel, which could be your website contact form, email, phone, or social media. Inquiry Details: They provide basic information about their needs, including the type of portrait session they're interested in (e.g., standard, mini, or destination), the preferred date or timeframe, and any specific requests or questions they may have. Step 2: Consultation Response: Your team responds promptly to the inquiry, acknowledging receipt and expressing appreciation for their interest. Consultation: Depending on the complexity of the request, you may schedule a consultation meeting. During this meeting (which can be in-person, over the phone, or via video call), you discuss the client's vision, style preferences, and any unique requirements. This is also an opportunity to establish a rapport and answer their questions. Clarifications: You clarify pricing, payment terms, and any additional services they may need, such as makeup artists or wardrobe recommendations. Step 3: Booking Confirmation: Once both parties are satisfied with the details, you confirm the booking by sending a contract or agreement outlining the agreed-upon services, date, time, location, and pricing. You may also provide an invoice for the required deposit. Deposit: The client pays the non-refundable deposit to secure the booking. Step 4: Preparing for the Session Preparation: We will work together to finalize any logistical details, such as the exact shooting location, outfits, and props. I may also provide guidance on what to expect during the session and offer tips for a successful shoot. Step 5: The Portrait Session The Day Of: On the scheduled day, you arrive at the chosen location or studio with your equipment and any necessary props or accessories. Capturing Moments: During the session, you capture a variety of poses and moments, making sure to accommodate any special requests or preferences discussed during the consultation. Step 6: Post-Processing and Delivery Editing: After the session, we carefully select and edit the best photos to enhance their quality and aesthetics. Online Gallery: You upload the edited photos to a secure online gallery where the client can view and download their images. You share the gallery link and access details with the client. Step 7: Review and Additional Services Client Review: The client reviews the photos and, if necessary, selects additional retouched images. Final Payment: The client pays any remaining balance, including fees for additional services or products chosen. Step 8: Final Delivery Delivery: I provide the final retouched images and/or products as agreed upon in your contract. This could be via digital download. Step 9: Follow-Up Feedback: After the service is complete, I may follow up with the client to gather feedback and ask for permission to share their photos on your portfolio or social media. Step 10: Client Satisfaction Client Satisfaction: Ensure that the client is satisfied with the entire process and the final results.
