WHAT IS MYOFASCIAL RELEASE BODY WORK?
Myofascial release works with the bodies fascial system. The fascial system has recently been gaining its recognition in the medical communities as being an important yet overlooked system of the body. Fascia is a continuous web of connective Tissue found throughout the entire body, It surrounds all muscles, bones, ligaments and organs of the body as well as weaving in and through muscles and organs. It is our bodies structural support system as well as a protector. When this system becomes restricted we experience pain, loss of sensation, loss of full and organized movement patterns, fatigue, edema, poor circulation and many more things.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS WORK?
-Do you experience chronic pain and tensions?
- Do you experience migraines?
-Do you feel stuck and want to be able to move more freely in your body?
-Do you experience pain in your joints?
-Do you want to have a deeper connected awareness of your body?

-Have you had Physical injuries that are still bothersome?
-Have you had a C-section and your body has never felt quiet right? (Scar tissue build up)
-Have you been receiving other forms of bodywork that seem to help for a
little while but the pain always seems to come back?
-Have you been searching and have yet to find the missing piece to your bodies healing?
These common issues may be due to fascial restrictions in the body.
We begin sessions with a postural assessment to see where your body is over compensating to gain a clearer picture of how your body is situated and where and how tensions are effecting your body.
Myofascial work is a gentle hands on approach, engaging into the fascial system to release restrictions. This approach is different in the sense that We don't force tissues to move rather we follow where the body guides us with its own healing wisdom. The fascial system is also directly linked to our nervous system. Our nervous system is responsible for our "fight or flight" response. when we have had traumatic experiences that energy and memory resides in our tissues. In releasing fascial restrictions we are also touching into the nervous system and releasing these old traumas through intentional touch.
