FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a set pricing system that I start with, but have great package deals. I have contracts in place for 3, 6 and 9 months and can vary one 1-3 or however many sessions a week you prefer with your life and finances. If you bring a friend to join your sessions and sign up with me to work out together I will give you both a discount and if you bring two friends that sign up to work out you all with get a discount etc. Offering up to 4 people for a group class type discount for your work out sessions. I would be happy to explain this in further detail with actual pricing upon out first consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The very first time that I met with a potential client I like to talk to them about goals, exercise and nutrition. I like to see where they are at with their activity and eating habits to get an idea of where we need to go and what they are capable of. I want to know where they want to see themselves down the road and help them set realistic expectations. We go over what a typical session would entail as well as planning out and scheduling future sessions and options. I want to get to know my clients on a personal level as well as professional. I want them to trust and confide in me. They are giving me the chance to make a difference in their lives and this line of work demands open communication both ways. I need them to be honest with me as to what goes on when I am not there as well as me being honest with them and realistic goals and expectations. The process for starting with a new client takes some getting to know you physically and emotionally.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Provo College from their personal trainer program, I have an NSCA certification, i'm on Provo colleges advisory board for their personal trainer program. I was always very athletic growing up. I was state champion wrestler and football player. I knew growing up that I wanted to stay active and use my knowledge to build off of for my future. I did get injured a few times while participating in these sports and ended up in a physical therapy office a number of times. When I graduated high school I started to go to school for physical therapy and got some great experience doing internships in physical therapy offices. While I was working in physical therapy I realized that my favorite part of it was when I actually got to go into the gym with the patient and literally ‘work out’ their area of focus. I loved being able to put the body to use and strengthen what was needed. The body fascinates me and it finally hit me that I should become a personal trainer. Helping people is definitely something I have always taken pride in and to be able to combine that with the body and being active, it was a perfect fit for me. Long story short, I ended up going to college to become a personal trainer and since then I have become certified in different specialty exercises as well such as TRX. Another passion of mine has always been kick boxing and being able to defend yourself if ever put in a situation where it was needed. I am happy to say that I offer kick boxing sessions to my clients as well, not only for a great workout, but also very useful knowledge. My wife went to school for nutrition and has a great knowledge of nutrition. Whether you want to lose, gain or maintain weight we can help you get there.
