Attorney Paul Johnson has been great. He worked with me through some of the issues that arise with trademarks. He was very accessible and available with great advise. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for assistance filing a trademark and/or patent. Thanks Paul!Sep 17, 2017Verified
Working with the Law Office of Paul B. Johnson has been incredible. He first contacted me on a Saturday since I first sent out my request for a Patent or Intellectual Property attorneys since I first put out an ad on Thursday September 14. My first ad I placed I believe was too frantic and specific so I sent out a different one on Saturday September 16. He was one of the first to answer, and to be honest, working on a weekend was impressive. His prices were also upfront and fair given his background knowledge in engineering and his experience. I personally found the fact that he has two separate engineering degrees impressive as well since he can call upon that experience, training, and knowledge in thinking about the creation or production of a product, if applicable. I emailed him a description of my idea and was enthused as I was. Although through some research we found similar ideas already produced they were different enough that we’re not quite sure whether to pursue the project or not, and he was very upfront with me about his opinion, and what to do and not to do. His appraisal of the situation was very honest and his opinion was to spare me a patent search which would have been costly, but which would have been beneficial for his bottom line. That showed character to me. Instead, he shared with me some other ideas and options for the product since although it had been made before, no one had ever really heard about it and it was not publicly known or in the public eye. Although I’m not sure where that initial idea of an invention will go, I have quite a few other ideas to explore and pursue and the Law Office of Paul B. Johnson is going to be my first place to go. I recommend you do the same. Good luck!Sep 19, 2017Verified
Intellectual Property Attorney
Paul has done very well keep me up to date on what is going on with multiple patent and trademark applications. I can be difficult to get in contact with but he seems to find a way. He also does a great job explaining what is going on and what moves I should take to better my situation and complete the process. I would definitely use him in the future and refer his legal services to others.Jan 22, 2019Verified

At first I was very apprehensive on hiring an attorney on an app from ITunes. But I felt comfortable after reading the reviews. Paul was very patient with me and kept in touch when he hadn’t heard from me in awhile. His guidance is priceless. Being a small business owner I wanted to make sure all loose ends were tied. I’m very happy with the smooth process and the valuable advise he gave me.Feb 3, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My rates are very competitive because I have streamlined back end processes on my end, and most of my rates are flat fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like a little back and forth through ThumbTack or over the phone to hone in on what services you really need and see if we are a good match to work together. If we are, I send an engagement agreement and a payment link (through which you can pay by credit card) and then I get started, staying in touch through email throughout the process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am an attorney, an engineer, and an entrepreneur. I am licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, I have bachelors and masters degrees in engineering, and after being trained by experienced attorneys at other law firms for over ten years I broke off and started my own firm in late 2016.
