I was very impressed with High Point. We had a power outage which resulted in a power surge that killed our capacitor in our A/C unit. When we called High Point, and told them when it happened, and that it was after the power went out, they told me that it was likely the capacitor. They came out within a couple hours of me calling and they were right about what needed to be fixed. They installed the new capacitor very quickly with no issues, and my A/C has been cold ever since. I was also impressed with their honesty... I asked them how much it would cost to have them clean my A/C unit, but they said that it didn't need it yet and to call them next year.

I was very impressed with High Point. We had a power outage from a power surge that ended up ruining our capacitor. When I told them we had a power outage over the phone, Greg told me right away that he thought it was probably the capacitor. He was able come within 3 hours of me calling, and it was exactly what he thought it was. I then asked him how much it would cost to clean my AC unit, and he replied that he didn't think it needed it and that I could wait until next year to clean it. I was very impressed!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the Plumbing Heating and Cooling service Industry for the past 14 years. I have 4 Years of schooling and on the job training for my Journeyman plumbing license. Also have been to School for 2 years and 2 years on the job training for my Heating and Cooling contractors license. Certified with EPA for refrigerant use.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
This type of work takes someone that is mechanically inclined, and is willing to put the time in to learn. Mobility and physical strength to move Water heaters, Furnaces and Condenser units. Personality that gets along with many types of people.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for credentials, make sure they are licensed and insured.
