After several opinions and a lot of frustration, Richard with X&M HVAC was the first technician who took a careful, evidence-based approach instead of jumping to expensive conclusions. He thoroughly reviewed the previous findings, performed an electronic leak search on the evaporator coil, and found no evidence of a leak there. He then properly charged the system to Carrier's recommended sub cooling specification and advised monitoring the system before recommending any invasive or costly repairs.
I appreciated that Richard explained what he was doing, answered my questions, and based his recommendations on actual testing rather than assumptions. It's refreshing to find an HVAC technician who values diagnostics and honesty over selling unnecessary work. I would definitely recommend Richard and X&M HVAC to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy technician.

He is knowledgeable and kindly answered all our questions and concerns. He identified some issues with our HVAC units and provided recommendations. He taught us how to properly adjust the thermostats to improve efficiencies. Most importantly, he was honest with the diagnostic and did not try to sell us services that we do not need it.
