I hired Alexandria for coordination services for my daughter's wedding on August 1. Once hired, Alexandria worked directly with my daughter and her fiance. My daughter commented many times about how Alexandria scheduled conferences and stayed on top of each request and detail for the Rehearsal and Wedding. Both events came off without a hitch! I was able to see Alexandria and her team of experts at work! She was highly detailed with itineraries, schedules, maps - you name it! She ran the show with professionalism and got the job done. She worked well with all of the vendors making sure their tasks were completed as planned. She managed the large wedding party to ensure they were in place and on time, and then made sure that our reception venue provided exactly what we paid for. At the end of the night, she and her team helped me clear the venue of gifts and decorations. All were polite and respectful even after a 12 hour day! I would highly recommend Alexandria Event Design for wedding planning and coordination. I just can't say enough about how happy we were with her services.

Alexandria did an amazing job coordinating my wedding. With the pandemic there were a lot of changes throughout the planning process and even the day of but she did a great job handling every situation. We were so glad to work with her and would not have had such an amazing wedding without her help!

Alexandria is INCREDIBLE. I can’t thank her enough for the amount of time and effort she put into our wedding. She is so organized and on top of everything, making sure everything is taken care of and running smoothly. I randomly found ThumbTack to prep for my birthday event and was honestly a bit apprehensive about the services being offered. After reviewing all options, I found Alexandria to be the best fit for my vision and budget. Alexandria, her team, and I have been collaborating together for about a month to bring my Tipsy Tea Party vision to life. Before I hired Alex and her team, I was a bit lost and needed direction and they professionally exceeded my expectations while also going out of their way to make sure I stayed within my budget. Unfortunately, COVID-19 brought things to a halt and the state went into a lockdown forbidding social gatherings. I contacted Alex to cancel my event and she was more than understanding. I will be definitely using her services again!

Alexandria was the perfect Day of Coordinator for me! You can tell she is very organized and is a born planner!! She thinks of everything, has great suggestions and ideas, and she also truly embraces the vision you have for your special event/wedding. Her personality is warm and every time I spoke to her I felt less stressed! I was impressed with the crew she had with her and she definitely knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. Everything went perfectly and we stayed right on schedule. I am so grateful that we went with her for our wedding and I highly recommend working with her!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I work on a fixed price contract because I think that best protects my clients from unknown additional fees. My contracts are transparent so my clients know up front what they are getting with no surprises! If additional services are required, we can always add an addendum to our contract!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Communication is key! I like to schedule an initial phone call before booking to get a sense of what your specific needs are for your day-your wants,needs, budget, timeline, etc. After getting some big picture details, we can book and the real fun begins!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    A fun fact about me is I am an Interior Designer by day and Event Designer by night! I graduated from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) with an Interior Design degree, and currently work designing kitchens and bathrooms. I pair function with beauty in all of my projects, making sure to listen to the clients needs while meeting a timeline and price point. This translates into event design well, as I know how to juggle "organized chaos" while staying on budget!
