We recently had Mr. Patrick Donnelly from DESKA come out to assess some issues around our home (random cracks, slight buckling in the flooring, and chimney) and I can honestly say the experience exceeded every expectation.He called me to give me a heads up that he was on his way at our appointment time.From the moment he arrived, he was professional, thorough, and incredibly reassuring. Instead of jumping straight to worst-case scenarios, he took the time to carefully inspect everything, explain what was actually happening, and separate normal settling from real structural concerns. I asked Deska to evaluate some cracks in the foundation of my 50-year-old home to determine if they were structural or cosmetic.Patrick arrived punctually, after phoning ahead to let me know he was on his way.He carefully looked and measured inside and outside, and clearly and thoroughly shared with me what he was seeing.Many foundation companies would have tried to sell me a package of fixes (whether they were needed or not).To their great credit, Deska told me everything was cosmetic and no work was needed!Thank you Patrick and Deska!

Honest company who provided an expert opinion whether a soft floor on the transition between a newer addition and the original house was structurally related or just cosmetic. After spending time laser measuring the floors and reviewing photos of the addition foundation put in 16 years ago their representative assessed the addition was very well constructed and the flooring give was very localized and not a big issue. He pointed out this past cold winter has meant many households have run furnaces or heaters more than normal which has dried out the internal building materials typically resulting in new drywall cracks. What a relief to find a local company that is not just out to sell you something. Would highly recommend for a trusted opinion on foundation issues.

I called DESKA when I had some concerns about water intrusion from a foundation planter, as well as some possible settlement that had cropped up recently.Making an appointment was easy, and Mr. Deska arrived on time. He walked the entire property with me and truly listened to my concerns. Not only was his inspection thorough, he gave me some valuable information on what to look for in the future, the items I don't need to worry about, and some options on how to address the planter.As a woman, I especially appreciated that there was no attempt to upsell anything, no condescending attitude, no "urgency" to get a contract signed right away-just a very informative, helpful, and professional evaluation of the situation, with an invitation to contact him with any questions I may have in the future.I highly recommend DESKA and will certainly contact them for future work!
