Architectural Services

Luis and GTZ Consultants were indispensable to our renovation. We already had an idea about our design and layout, but needed someone who could translate these to architectural drawings and navigate the DC permit process. Also, we were managing much of the work ourselves and were needing someone who would be generous with their expertise for non-professionals. Luis not only met these needs, but he exceeded our expectations. He was prompt, professional, kept us informed throughout, and turned around high quality work very quickly. When we came across some potential issues in the process, he did not hesitate to help us with suggested changes and make updates to the plans and permits. Even during the early stages of the pandemic when DCRA was still working out their remote work practices, Luis secured our permits within weeks, when others were taking months. If you are looking for someone to translate your ideas into plans, to secure your permits, and to ease your concerns about the whole process, I highly recommend working with Luis and GTZ Consultants.

Architectural Services

I had never needed an architect until I decided to add a portico to my home. My contractors contact was no longer available so I turned to Thumbtack. Luis texted and asked what I needed. He came to my house several times.... always on time and very respectful of my COVID concerns. Within a couple of weeks I had plans and a permit. Luis is VERY professional, easy to work with, a good listener, punctual and my plans look perfect.

Structural Engineering Services

Luis did a nice job with assessing a wall for whether it was load bearing or not. He also offered to look at the wall again after I take off the drywall which was nice.

Mr. Luis expediently made time to come and gave us a good cost estimate for what we can potentially do to extend our house.
