- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons/tutoring are usually taken in quarter hour increments, starting at 30 minutes. 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, etc. The hourly quote is divided accordingly, depending on the lesson length you desire.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Voice lessons: First lessons are typically to evaluate vocal range, vocal tone/timbre, vocal quality, and to discuss goals and musical interests. Piano lessons: First lessons are generally used to introduce the student to the instrument, evaluate what he/she knows, and for me to learn how each student learns. We then launch into lesson material based on how much each student knows!
