FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please understand that we all need to generate revenue to stay in business, so as you meet designers and review quotes, please consider asking yourself the following: Does this person have a degree in Interior Design or simply a good eye? Does this person seem to understand what I am saying? Are they asking probing questions? Can I see myself working with this person? Do they understand designing around children, elders, physically challenged, pets, etc? Are they outlining how they make money or is it hidden? Was the timeline of 3 months given - if so, that's good as special order furniture can take this long. Please ask me questions! Every designer is not right for every client; however, only through asking me will you know.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There are Designers and there are Decorators. Please know what one is right for you. As someone with a Master's Degree in Interior Design, you know that I have gone the extra mile to educate myself. Decorators do not have the design education; however, they can still have a "good eye". If understanding health and safety codes are important to you, an Interior Designer is ideal. Furthermore, please respect that we want to be around to assist you again in the future and we continue our education regularly with seminars and classes which is why we charge the way we do. It's not just our price, it's our value.
