Introduction: Pilates with Vanessa opened in January of 2015. I am a comprehensively certified and classically trained Pilates teacher with specific certifications in Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, Pre and Post-natal, MS & Neurological conditions as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialty for pre and post-natal woman struggling with diastase, prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence. All of these specialities give me the tools to help people get out of pain, gain strength and move without fear. I enjoy teaching lessons in my home studio but during COVID I have also expanded my offering to include virtual privates, duets and small group classes. I believe strongly in the method of the classical order and I use my trained eye to develop a strong, flexible body that moves with ease. I have practiced Pilates since the early 2000’s when I took my first mat class and have felt the transformative power of including Pilates in my fitness routine. I look forward to helping you feel the powerful effect of this method that is needed more today then ever.

I take private lessons from Vanessa twice weekly and highly recommend her. Vanessa is a great teacher with an eye to focusing on what my specific needs are and tailoring the session to me. She has a great knowledge about Pilates in general and several specialties she's certified in. I really enjoy her clear and instructive teaching style. Her studio is very nicely appointed with a great selection of professional Pilates equipment, and is nicely sized, bright, well maintained, and cleaned and sanitized each session. It's nice to have a professional and reasonably priced option right here in the Ashburn/Broadlands area!

I would never have thought I would be able to do Pilates by zoom. Vanessa is such a wonderful teacher that I can close my eyes, listen to her voice, and stretch out the pain I have in the mornings. It amazes me that she can tell when I am doing something wrong even when I can’t figure out how she could see the move, but when I do it correctly like she explains, the whole move is easier and more fluid. Don’t hesitate to work with Vanessa. She is incredible!
