About
Pilates with Vanessa opened in January of 2015. I am a comprehensively certified and classically trained Pilates teacher with specific certifications in Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, Pre and Post-natal, MS & Neurological conditions as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialty for pre and post-natal woman struggling with diastase, prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence. All of these specialities give me the tools to help people get out of pain, gain strength and move without fear. I enjoy teaching lessons in my home studio but during COVID I have also expanded my offering to include virtual privates, duets and small group classes. I believe strongly in the method of the classical order and I use my trained eye to develop a strong, flexible body that moves with ease. I have practiced Pilates since the early 2000’s when I took my first mat class and have felt the transformative power of including Pilates in my fitness routine. I look forward to helping you feel the powerful effect of this method that is needed more today then ever.

I've really appreciated Vanessa's thoughtful approach to my practice. It was personalized to start and she's adjusted it based on what's happening with my body in response to our sessions. So glad I've chosen to work with her. Appreciate the depth of her training and helping me with chronic issues. Plus she's got such good cues to help me improve in the moment. Highly recommend.

I truly love doing pilates with Vanessa. She is very experienced and works with you to ensure that you are doing the exercises correctly.
I used to have hip and back problems however since I started taking pilates classes with Vanessa I have noticed an huge improvement in those areas.
Learning how to strengthen my core through her classes has helped me greatly.

Vanessa is amazing! I have been taking group and private lessons with her for a year and a half. She is fantastic at braking down the movements to help me do them correctly and get the most benefit out of them! Since, I have scoliosis and a frozen shoulder. Vanessa customizes each private lesson to work my problem areas. I have seen a remarkable amount of improvement in my mobility, flexibility and strength!
