- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out several years ago by helping friends of mine who were laid off and needing help with resume editing and cover letters. I liked seeing how my suggestions helped them land the job. I also have over 29 years experience in technical writing and editing.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
First, I will review your existing resume and make suggestions about items that need revising. Then, together we'll talk about my suggestions. I will interview you and ask you about specific details related to the job you want and how to customize your job accomplishments. We can talk about ways to get that resume in the right hands that help you get that interview.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A good friend was recently laid off from his job. I helped him by showing him ways to improve his resume. I edited and fixed all errors such as spelling and grammar. Together we went over how he accomplished goals, and we discussed items that needed improvement. We also went through his LinkedIn profile, and together we came up with things that made his LinkedIn profile help him stand out.
