- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I earned Masters of Education in Counseling from Virginia Tech and my undergraduate degree from James Madison University. I worked as a High School Counselor for seven years in Prince William County. After my daughter graduated from high school, I turned my favorite hobby of taking care of pets for friends and neighbors, into a successful full time business. It has been an amazingly rewarding experience and I feel blessed.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of our clients use our daily dog walking services. We have many clients that use our pet sitting services for weekends, vacations, and even unexpected long days.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We have a client that has a special needs dog, Luca. Luca has lost control of her back legs and lays in his bed all day. We have to lift Luca with a towel and help him out side to potty. He is a very large dog and it is tricky. His parents have used other pet sitters, but have not been able to go on vacation until they found us. We began taking care of Luca about 8 months ago. Last month they were able to take a 17 day vacation out of the country. They said they couldn't have done it without us. We are very proud of the service and love we provide our clients.
