- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most handmade gifts have a base price, and that price can increase for sizing needs and design complexity. Shipping will be charged for priority mail, and can be upgraded. Repairs are charged by hours of expected work and complexity. Purchase of supplies and shipping will be discussed. Lessons are charged by skill set.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I appreciate pictures and clear descriptions of what you want to create. I am very open with my process, and will ask for many details and clarifications before starting your project - all to get you the perfect item!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom taught me as a girl, and I have added different skills and techniques through the years. A friend encouraged me to 'go public', and I am loving every new challenge that running your own business presents.
