We can’t say enough good things about Kim Obermeyer. She is a realtor, house stager, and project manager all rolled into one person. She knew what to do in order for us to get the house ready for sale at the highest possible price. Another realtor told us not to even bother painting inside the house, since in that person’s words “it would not get us anymore money.” That realtor was totally wrong. Kim gave us an itemized list of things to do within a reasonable cost that helped us get a high price for the house. She even found a contractor and landscaper and even negotiated a lower price for us for the work to be done on the house. Kim staged our house for no extra fee. Some realtors, if they even do stage houses, charge several hundred dollars to stage a house. Kim was at our house several times while the contract work was being performed to make sure work was being accomplished on time and identified any issues that arose during the process. We had a hardwood floor on the lower level of the house that was pretty beat-up and we were thinking about replacing it with carpet. Kim suggested we just refinish the floor and found another contractor to refinish the floor. It turned out beautiful and like new. The walls on the lower level of the house were textured. Kim suggested the walls be smoothed out. The contractor skim-coated, sanded, and painted the walls and that turned out beautiful. Kim recommended we replace our dining room chandelier, bathroom lights, and the cabinet handles. She even purchased these items for us and saved us the time of running to Home Depot or Lowes. Kim found us a buyer before the house even went on the market (we didn’t even have to list it on the MLS). She walked us through the negotiations with the buyer to arrive at an agreed price. We ended up selling the house for about $45,000 more than what the other realtor suggested we sell our house for.

Excellent experience with Kim. She didn't pressure us at all when we started out just wanting to look at a house. When we decided we wanted to buy, she was very helpful in sorting out the details. She worked with us to put our house on the market and get the price we wanted and she put on multiple open houses to help bring buyers in. Very good customer service, no high pressure tactics, extremely trustworthy!

Kim has gone far and beyond the call of any real estate agent. She helped us buy our first single family home, which we found within a week of looking, and find a perfect buyer for our townhouse two weeks after listing! She helped my sister sell her house in Arkansas, by finding a local agent for her and guiding her through the process. She is hands on, experienced, honest, and looks out for your interests. I've delt with other agents. Kim is beyond reproach.

Kim Obermeyer was awesome to work with on the sale of our home! She provided guidance as we prepared the house to go on the market and she did a fantastic job staging the home. It showed like a model and it took only a few days to get a contract. Our home was a short-sale and Kim provided sound advice, explored options and pushed forward when we thought we had exhausted all possibilities.

I stage all my listings for FREE. My listing fee is also at a discounted rate compared to most realtors.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know the client on a personal level allows me to understand what they want in a property both buying and selling.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have several years of experience in real estate. My business degree helps me with marketing and managing all aspects of my work. I am also an Accredited Staging Professional. This required several days of classroom and hands on training. I then worked for 2 years under an Accredited Staging Professional Master.
