When VA Home Inspect answered my request for a quote I realized I was dealing a professional and reasonable home inspector. As a first time home buyer, I had many questions about hiring a home inspector. He was patient and answered every question promptly not to mention the price was reasonable. Payment was done online and contract was signed online - making things very easy for me. The day of the inspection, he arrived at the time we agreed upon and got to business right away. I walked through the inspection with him. He showed me things that weren't right and things that were really bad. We had one particular problem, the HVAC system could not be inspected due to a faulty thermostat. He offered to come back to inspect/test later. I asked how much it would cost me to have him come back again. He said he wouldn't charge me extra. This showed me his true colors! I couldn't have hired a better home inspector -professional, flexible, thorough, reasonable and honest. Once the repairs were done, he made himself available and came back to the unit to inspect the issues he initially found. All of them where corrected but he found a new one. Mind you, this happened 2 days before closing. This helped me get the issue fixed before I signed. His home inspection report was easy to understand with pictures and suggestions. In conclusion, I would hire VA Home Inspect again if I need to. If you are looking for a home inspector in northern VA, look no more. He'll have your back.

I highly recommend Joe for your upcoming home inspection. He made himself available when I needed him and was very responsive to my questions prior to and during the inspection. He was very thorough in the inspection and definitely works for the buyer and not the realtor. He actually found a gas leak in the home that the gas company almost missed when they came out to test for it. It was quickly corrected and we moved forward. I then used his post inspection report to get everything fixed in the house before we closed. He also went to the house two days prior to the inspection to drop the radon test box so the data could be collected on the same day of the inspection. I think that is above and beyond. It was very helpful. Give Joe a call and he'll get you squared away.

I purchased a home sight unseen. As you may know, the home inspection is a contingency in the purchase contract. If the home does not pass the home inspection, the buyer can walk away from the purchase with no financial ramifications. In this case, I needed a home inspector that was going to work for me, and not my realtor. The realtor is motivated to make a sale, as that is how they make their money. As such, my realtor has an interest to allow the home to pass the inspection with no major issues that would stop the purchase contract from going through. While looking for home inspectors in the Northern Virginia area, I came across Joseph. His website specifically stated that he worked for the client and not the realtor. I cannot stress enough how true this statement is. In fact, my realtor mentioned that he was very old school and was not used to being kept out of the inspection process. While she did attend the inspection, Joe went to work on inspecting the house without paying worry or attention to my realtors concerns. Some may think that this is a bit improper, but before I hired Joe, I talked to him over the phone and explained what I needed him to do. I was especially concerned with him acting independent of my realtor for the reasons previously mentioned. He understood my concerns, and as a prior Marine, could relate personally to my concerns. Once Joe completed the inspection, I had the inspection results within 24 hours. The results were professionally formatted and filled with a lot of details. Joe then took the time to go over the inspection results with me over a phone call. Because I was not able to attend the inspection, he took extra pictures so that he could teach me various aspects about the home, all of which were discussed during the inspection. Joe gave me great advice on what he thought were the biggest concerns. Overall, there were no major faults with the home. Joe did a great job at identifying different issues but ultimately, we moved forward with the purchase of the home. I am confident that Joe accurately identified all of the issues associated with the home. I highly recommend Joe for anyone in need of a home inspector that will work in their interest.

My clients randomly picked out this company to do their home inspection. I had never used him before and will never refer him to anyone, Agents steer clear. He used his moisture monitor to measure levels of moisture in the walls that came back at 96% and then told them that means there is a possibility of mold throughout the whole house and beware. My clients canceled the contract and the seller hired two separate "Mold Inspectors to come and figure out what is wrong with the house. Both of them did the same monitoring of the walls and the highest was 9% I told them the Home inspector said it was up to 96% and they said this house is dry as a bone and if he was getting a reading of 96% there would be water pouring out of the walls, he either had a bad monitor AND does not know what he is doing OR he is trying to justify his work as a home inspector by making stuff up. There were many things in the house he said was wrong and a Class A contractor that the seller had come thru said they were not. BEWARE this guy does not know what he is doing.

'My clients randomly picked out this company to do their home inspection'. You are saying they did not research me before hiring me. u are insulting your client.... Your client called me for another inspection and I performed it yesterday. She said that your post is a lie.
