My husband and I discovered Chef Hawthorne from a friend who had already used his catering services. We wanted to have a special romantic dinner at home and contacted him. When you dine out, you are limited to the restaurant’s established menu. With Chef Hawthorne, the sky is the limit and his culinary creativity is boundless. Although my friend had used him for an event that needed a special menu for gluten-free & vegan guests, my husband and I had no specific food restrictions. Chef Hawthorne presented us with a lot of ideas and in the end we decided to try a variety of dishes instead of sticking to a theme. He created a creamy crab dip with pita crisps, fresh sushi and nigiri, and pork tacos with the perfect amount of heat balanced with a creamy sauce and julienned fresh greens. The perfect finale was a bananas foster that was better than any I’ve had anywhere else. In short, I highly recommend Chef Hawthorne for any event that calls for 5 star culinary delights with the customized convenience of catering.

I have used Chef Rick's services for several important family events that ranged in size from 20 guests to 100 guests. Each time his food was phenomenal! Guests not only left raving about the food, but continue to do so to this date. I would say his specialties are spicing traditional meals to add just the zest I could never replicate and presentation. His meals are so gorgeous to the eye, one pauses at first, before taking the initial bite. Once his food hits your tongue and your taste buds start to salivate, your appreciation for the skill and talent of Chef Rick is forever sealed in your mind! Have already booked Capital City Culinary for my next event, Thanksgiving dinner for 25.
