I absolutely loved our Kamayan Cooking Class w/ Casto! This was a unique double date night for me, my boyfriend and our friends who were a married couple. The food is ABSOLUTELY GOOD (We can never get enough of Filipino food) & you get good value for your money because you get to prepare & learn how to make the dishes, eat them & take them home if you don't finish them! Even though all of us have tried and cooked Filipino food like lumpia (egg rolls), pork belly & bbq before (2 of us are Filipinas, 1 is half-Filipino & 1 Puerto Rican-American), this was still a unique experience because we learned new cooking techniques and new ingredients that we could do ourselves at home. The ambiance is very homey & very much like Filipino hospitality--cozy and full of food and conversations. We felt at ease doing the tasks in the kitchen while sharing stories about our experiences in the Philippines and our quests for cooking & finding the best Filipino food in the DC area. We recommend this to anyone who wants to learn how to make easy, flavourful & yummy Filipino food, to anyone who's tried cooking Filipino food before but wants to learn new stuff and to anyone who just wants to share the art of Filipino cuisine to others and eat (a lot!)! We wouldn't mind doing the whole experience again, but potentially with a different menu so that we can experience more of Casto's cooking & learn more!

I brought my family to the Boodle Fight experience for a birthday celebration. The host and his home was very comfortable and welcoming. We brought a birthday cake for after the meal and he was very accommodating. There was a lot of food and the dishes were unique and well cooked. The food was delicious and the entire experience was perfect for a special event/celebration. Will definitely come back in the future.

My party had a great time cooking with Casto! Excellent host who was willing to work with any level of cooking experience- those wanted to get their hands dirty as well as those who just wanted to watch. Had a great time and the food was delicious! There's not a lot of Filipino food in our area, so it was fun to experience it .The host was great, the experience was fun, and I really liked that a third party handled payment so I didn't need to worry about tipping

This was a great experience. It was more than I expected. I really enjoyed the dishes that was served. You can tell Casto knows what he is talking about when he explains the dishes he was going to make.The food was amazing. He made filipino dishes simple and yet delicious. This experience has made me want to cook and explore different ways to cook filipino dishes. I would recommend this experience over the restaurant style kamayan any day.
