Homequest did a great job of gutting and renovating our basement in DC. They took our suggestions of what we wanted and ran with it. The Homequest Team was very professional, on-time and always available to answer questions. They completed the entire project on schedule and within budget. Shortly after the project was completed, we encountered a small issue within our bathroom, Homequest arrived within 48 hours and fixed the issue. Our basement is now a beautiful AirBnB in the District. We would highly recommend Homequest for any home renovation projects that you may have. The Curry's.

Homequest did an excellent job on my home projects in Washington DC. I have a 100 year old row house and Scott and Asha did a great job managing a project to build a new powder room and renovate an old walk-in closet into an modern office space. Scott and Asha were very responsive with questions throughout the project and their prices were very fair. I would have no hesitation in hiring them again on any home construction project.

Incredibly responsive and involved every step of the way. Started and finished the job ahead of schedule. Fixed pre-existing issues from the builder and delivered exactly what they said. Highest recommendation for anyone doing work anywhere in their home. Trustworthy and engaged throughout.

Hired on Thumbtack

We messaged on Thumbtack if they could provide an estimate by coming to our home between 5:30-8pm. We both work full time. For this simple request, she wrote this to me. Decide for yourself. “Homequest Design & Builder I have always met very respectful customers here. You are the most disrespectful who doesn't respect other GC at all. We have family and childrens waiting for us to come home. Demanding to come out to give you a quote at 8 at night seems very selfish of you. and giving one star? I'm so glad I didn't go out there to meet you. Your one star will not affect me or my business because your one star will just bury as a lie when our respctful customers write their review. Thumbtack is not a place where GC pros kiss your butt to get a job. We all work with pride and we choose our customers. You are very arrogant and rude from the first place. God bless your heart”

Souj Nara. This is great because you didn't bother to post all the conversations we had here so people don't know you started this whole drama. There are certain levels of rudeness we can all tolerate. I should've dealt your rudeness like a pro but I admit I failed. You are the first one ever in my life who got offended over very genuine straight forward offer and got very offensive with me. I had no hard feelings towards you whatsoever.  Why would I with customer I've never even met? Honestly, I have never met customers like you during my long career years. I'm still new at this Thumbtack things compare to other pros, however I've met and spoken to over hundred customers here. I guess my approach to you during our conversation was a bad attitude to you but when customers and I can't find matching time for an initial meeting, that is the last resort I use. Pros pay a lot of money to send a message or a quote to customers on Thumbtack. Which means pros always try to make things work because this is free for customers and cost a lot of money for pros like me. Of course we don't expect customers to understand our side of the story but the point being here Souj Nara, we all take our job seriosuly. If the way how you described is true, yes. I gave you the most disrespectful service but there is an old saying "Even when your mouth is crooked, spit out the words properly." Remember Souj Nara. What goes around comes around. Your request on Thumbtack take a lot of money and time for pros like us. Thumbtack is not a place where you should be lecturing about my attitude. If you didn't like my genuine offer, then all you have to do is don't respond. Next time you need to find a pro on Thumbtack, I hope you remember what I told you above. If I ever meet a customer like you once again in my life, I will make sure to keep my cool and handle it differently too.  Other than hiding behind the screen Souj Nara, if you have any questions, you are more than welcome to call me at 703.825.0712. By the way Souj Nara, here is the whole conversation we had just so you have better understanding of what really happened. Like I said I failed to continue my pro mind when you brought up my attitude and I truely regret it. But hey! Never met a customer like you before even outside of Thumbtack so I guess we all learn from experiences and mistakes right? Asha: Hi Souj. How can I assist you? Thu 3:14 PM Souj Nara: Can you come about 7pm today & give an estimate for our basement finish project? Asha: Sorry everyone is off at that time. How about tomorrow morning Thu 4:02 PM We also have an opening on Sat morning between 10/1030 Thu 8:34 PM Are you still interested of getting a quote? Yesterday 8:38 AM Souj Nara: Yes, we are interested.  If you want to come this evening, we are available.  Mornings do not work for us. We are available from 5:30-8pm Asha: Everyone is off at that time. But let me see if tomorrow sometime after 7 if anyone is available. Souj let me ask you what your lowest bid was to make this simple. I'm sure you will go for the lowest bid and if we can't beat that quote, I don't really see why we should go out there. I will tell you weather your satisfied quote is compatible with ours or not. Yesterday 4:37 PM Souj Nara: With this kind of attitude, I’m glad we did not find right times that worked.  Good luck with your other projects! Asha: This is just not us Souj. There's not even a one customer who even asks GC to come out to give quote at your suggested time. Which I think is very selfish of you. We all have family and kids to go to after work. Maybe you should consider others too next time. Good luck on your search. Souj Nara: You can just read your own comments and judge for yourself who is being rude.  We all work after hours in all fields of work without complaining. Asha: Yup. Good luck.
