I sought advice from Ashish on the changes that I was proposing to my house which included demolition of the wall. Ashish was very inviting and based on the structural pictures he gave me great professional advice. His advice and suggestions were later corroborated by the structural engineer as well. Ashish took the time to call me to see if I had any additional questions for him. Working with Ashish, I always know that I have a professional architect to support and assist me at all times. Ashish provided exactly what I was looking for -- thorough, well-done, thoughtful options for floor plans and permit drawings for my finished basement. The process was smooth all the way through from the initial call to the home visit to the documentation. Ashish also assisted me in finding a contractor to do the work. All in all I am an incredibly satisfied customer.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide ideas, which is a creative process. While hard to put a $$ amount to creativity, a typical engagement takes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the size of the remodel and services desired, and speed of feedback and my fees are a percentage of the overall project size. I don't charge by the hour, it's a lump sum fee we agree upfront, but my fees are secondary to your satisfaction.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial phone conversation to understand project outcome. If project makes sense to both parties, then:
- A site visit to walk the site and discuss ideas
- A few weeks later, a few design ideas shared in person/remote.
- Final drawings/model incorporating the feedback.
- Meeting with the contractor to review design.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Architecture from SUNY Buffalo.
