FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! The fitness and nutrition industry is growing at an amazing rate now. There are more and more research studies out on a regular basis showing the "ins and outs" of exercise and nutrition for a variety of factors facing our population currently. I view staying up to date with research, hot topics, trends, and product developments as a non-negotiable to my career!! Staying up to date means I am not directing a client to do something that a new study shows to be counter-productive!!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always knew I wanted a career that would allow me to help others with physical demands, but I didn't know if that was physical therapy, nursing, or something more medical until I was in school and started practicals. At that point, I realized my desire to assit people in reaching fitness goals in a non-medical environment. I didn't want to deal with insurance companies or being told how many "patients" I would be caring for. At the end of the day, I want to know I helped someone feel a sense of accomplishment without the "drama."
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Design and implement exercise programs
