Whenever possible, I limit the use of fossil fuel-based or outgassing products while maintaining durability. Going green can also mean weatherizing, getting rid of carpets or other out-gassing things in the home, and simple toilet or faucet repairs. I can send you pictures of recent projects and upgrades. These include two loft designs, two stone patios, a woodshed, several rooms with custom paint jobs, and some beautiful bathroom/kitchen tiling.

Baron worked with me to add a 5x10 laundry room and a 14 x 20 sunroom to my very small cape cod house. We love both rooms and they have made our lives so much easier. As a homeowner who likes to be involved in the project, Baron was willing to let me elbow into the project and put a hammer in my hand to work along side. This man can get an amazing amount of work done in a relatively short time. He was always very easy to communicate with and offered great suggestions. His rates are quite reasonable, and he saved me money on materials. I highly recommend Go Green Handyman.

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I did a lot of landscaping, and house painting in my teens and early twenties. I then went into social work and helped run several programs for runaway teens. The work was emotionally difficult, and I never seemed to have enough work or money. After 8 years of that, I was tired of the contant struggle. I'd been into clean living, outdoor recreation, and environmental responsibility. In between social work positions, I worked with enough competent carpenters, painters, and handymen to decide I could make it on my own.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently a home-owner and I collaborated in designing two lofts for the family to better utilize their living space. You can see pictures of this in my profile for a better understanding. Both lofts really enhance the bedroom spaces, are fun, and unique.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do ask questions about the provider's training, markup policies, or general experience.
